Description
Author Davin de Kergommeaux, considered the foremost expert on Canadian whisky in the world, is back with his latest project. This time, it’s in tandem with fellow author Blair Phillips, and together the duo tackle the entire landscape of distilleries in Canada.
That means beyond going into great detail on Canadian whisky, they also look at the spirits scene on the whole. There are over 250 distilleries in Canada right now and the figure continues to rise.
The authors project that about half of those either have whisky already on the market, or are currently aging their first whisky releases. So, whisky is definitely front and center in this book. But along the way you’ll get to stop in at other spirits and producers from all across the country.
What we love about it
There’s no shortage of great whisky books on the market, but few carry the authority or wisdom of de Kergommeaux. That makes this one an excellent choice to brush up on Canadian whisky, and craft distillation on the whole.
